Johnny Marr has new Sarracenia hybrid plant named in his honour

Hampshire Carnivorous Plants have named a new Sarracenia hybrid plant in honour of Johnny Marr. They will be unveiling the plant to the world for the first time at this year’s  Royal Horticultural Society Show, held at Tatton Park Knutsford Cheshire (21-25 July)

Johnny Marr featured on Inception soundtrack album

Johnny is featured on guitar on the album of Hans Zimmer’s  original score for Christopher Nolan’s Inception, which will be released on July 13th,  three days prior to the film’s release.
Hans was quoted

 as saying  “It’s a very electronic score. There is orchestra, but the electronics share an equal spotlight, and I also have Johnny Marr playing guitar. Besides Johnny and the orchestra, everything else stays virtual throughout the mix.”
